Making Insaniquarium Stupid For the Dumbest of People
Do you like Insaniquarium Deluxe? I Sure Do! Do you want to be a r0m h4k3r? y33t
This guide will be to show you how to make Insaniquarium Deluxe yours. Not like Purchase wise. But customization wise.
Part 1: Locating the Game Files
First off. Before anything gets done the first thing that needs to be done is we need to locate the games files. This can easily be done if you have the Steam Version
On the Steam Version you can do this
- Go to Library and Select Insaniquarium Deluxe
- Right Click and hit Properties
- Go over to the Local Files tab and hit Browse Local Files
Now you should see a Windows Explorer window that looks like this
Part 2: Making a simple Intro screen
Insaniquarium Deluxe's Title Screen image is nice. No lie. But I think it could be better. So what is the technical specs of the image.
- Image Type: JPEG
- Image Resolution: 640x480
- Bit Depth: 24
- Filename: titlescreen.jpg
So as you can see we need to make an Image (or modify the original image) to match those specifications.
You can use whatever photo editing programs you want but I because i'm super professional™ I will be using Microsoft®Paint™ because that's what is built in to my PC.
So after some editing and l33t ph0t05h0pp1ng I managed to make the perfect title screen
So let's see how it looks in game!
it's NICE
Part 3: Various Graphics
A majority of the games graphics are in the .gif format with a bit depth of 8. (I was a bit lazy writing this and I didn't edit many graphics) but some graphics are in the .jpg format
You can edit these sprites in Paint or any other photo editor
What a average sprite from the game looks like
I'm no graphics person but yeah. Do some research on graphics editing lol.
Part 4: Music and Sound Effects
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
This part is going to be challenging for some. Mainly because exotic formats
The Music in Insaniquarium is in the .mo3 format. No I did not mess that up. MO3. Which is a compressed format for Tracker Audio.
You are probably asking... What do I use to edit Mo3 files?????
Here is a small list of programs that can do that
lol
basically. Google how to edit tracker audio
What about Sound Effects?
Make anything in the .ogg format
Summary
why did i do this
